Amen Salja. Storm lost me at the "ripping off noobs" line. I was having a tough time following him/her with their half illegible post. Storm is what is truly wrong with this game. Goes around ripping people off, and then calling people noobs. People who cast stones in glass houses...

Because for all I know, PERFECT GREEN ITEMS ARE EASILY FOUND! I found 2 perfect green items in 3 runs on SF (bows that looks like a halfmoon) and sold them for 23K each in Ascalon!

WHY DID I DO THAT??? Simple, that's what its intended for! To be sold for some people who doesn't have enough money to buy a perfect weapon. Now do I care if they're going to re-sell that for more? No. Just the fact that I was spamming that under the Local/Trade channel so people will see how/what Greens should really worth is all Im after.

Now, for all of you GOLD lovers....do you feel good when ur wielding a green item in battle? how 'bout a blue item from a collector? I personally don't. Wielding a perfect gold weapon just makes me feel INVINCIBLE!!

The looks....its color...ahhhh refreshing!! From my personal experience playing here in GW, My first character w/c is an Elementalist, wielded a collectors item with +26Hp.

But after playing hours after hours....going to LA to buy and sell...haggling with some people...ripping off the noobs....farming back then in riverside...I got rich! Then I did what some of us would do...start a new game with another character! But this time, my character will be godlly!! (xcuse me for using that word!) he will have the best armor and the best gold weapon the game can offer! So I did exactly that!

Now going back to the topic! Perfect GOLD weapons are for rich people and people who can afford it. Perfect gold weapons should still be expensive because THEY ARE HARD to come by! Do not compare them with those Green Items that you can easily find in SF. Perfect gold items should still be expensive because THEY ARE RARE AND HARD TO COME BY!!! If Green items and blue items make u feel good when wielding them I respect that, BUT please Do Not compare them with GOLD items!

Now that I have said my piece, tell me yours! BRING IT ON!!!

Totally agree with you. I seen people selling green items for 10k or more.. (hell i saw one person advertise 50k for a green item) And believe me, gold items still worth more than green, purple, and blue combined. I have several gold items, and each one should worth more than those green items.

SHOULD be is the key word. you see your gold item is actually worthless....it held an inflated value based on it's rarity...now that the weapon is no longer rare it's value is going to drop significantly. Greens are the new expensive weapons based entirely on rarity...the weapons themselves are marginally(if at all) better than collectors weapons. Rarity dictates price....outside of a weapons rarity they are basically all the same.....sorry that your POS Gold Weapon isn't worth anything anymore...but such is life.

Algren has posted many intelligent posts in prior months ... we were all noobs at one time or another but I his comments (which you asked for in your OP) don't warrant diversion. You asked for his opinion, just liek everyone else ... no need to defend yourself when people are giving their opinions.

While on topic ... I'm fine with modding perfect collector items with perfect upgrades ... ummm hello pvp weapons .... who gives a damn if its gold or not ... doesn't tickle my pants like it seems to do yours ... btw collector items are perfect ... so having the gold writing simply to get your rocks off completely makes no sense. I own numerous perfect swords, bows, but I still use the collector items because it just seems to make sense in my eyes.

On-topic: Green items are perfect, but can't they also be upgraded with upgrade components? It still wouldn't make them godly, but they'd be superior to the other items of the same type, if you'd ask me.
